Multifactor Authentication Coming Soon

On May 11, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) will begin implementing multifactor authentication (MFA) to enhance system security for CM/ECF and PACER. MFA provides an added layer of security to accounts by helping protect against cyberattacks that steal passwords, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access.

Once implemented, all CM/ECF and PACER users will be able to enroll in MFA. Users with filing and all other types of CM/ECF-level access will be required to enroll in MFA, while users with PACER-only access will have the option to enroll.

November 6, 2024 - Important Security Notice - Fake Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs)

There has been nationwide reporting of fake Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs) being sent to attorneys and law firms across the country. These fake NEFs are phishing attempts to convince recipients to respond back to the emails. Once a recipient replies to the email, they are sent a follow-on email containing a link to access a document that leads the user to a malicious website. Please exercise caution in reviewing all emails and validate case and case documentation through CM/ECF only. Do not download any attachments or click any links from unofficial or questionable sources.
